Some people may have a negative reaction to foods that contain yeast. Therefore, there are yeast free diets that can be used by certain people. Yeast free diets are not just designed for people who have an allergic reaction to certain types of foods. Some people use a yeast free diet as a healthy weigh loss method. Those who are on yeast free diets will be able to find recipes for foods that do not contain yeast in them at all. Some of these yeast recipes are also considered gluten free, which is a substance that is formed during the yeast fermentation process. Menus for yeast free dieting are usually offered by specified diet programs and websites. This information can also be obtained by a doctor, dietician, or other specialist.
Yeast Free And Sugar Free
Those who are going on a yeast free diet to lose weight will also usually be advised to avoid sugars. The reason why those who are on a yeast or gluten free diet are told to do so is because sugars can aggravate the yeasting process. Sugars to avoid include white sugar, brown sugar, maple syrup, glucose, maltose, and polysaccharides. There are quite a few other sugars that can aggravate the yeasting process that a person needs to watch out for as well. It is best to do research on a gluten free or yeast free diet to obtain more detailed information. Yeast Free Diet As A Treatment A yeast free diet is usually prescribed to those who are suffering from a condition called systemic yeast infection which is caused by Candida yeast. Symptoms of a systemic yeast infection include bloating, gas, fatigue, insomnia, and lower abdominal pain. Other people go on yeast free diet for other reasons as well. For example, some go on this diet to treat a skin disease called tenea versicolor. A yeast free diet not only involves the possibility of using different recipes to cook with but they also involve not using beer, wine, or other types of alcohol. Breads, rolls, pretzels, pastries, and sweet rolls should also be avoided. Furthermore, those who are using any type of B-complex or other vitamin will need to make sure the vitamins are completely yeast (and/or gluten) free. Those who are on a gluten-free or yeast free diet also may need to avoid any substance with vinegar in it such as mustards, salad dressings, pickles, barbeque sauce, and so on. Other types of food may need to be avoided as well, such as pickled, smoked, or dried meats, fish, and poultry. Cured pork bacon, aged cheese, mushrooms, tempeh, soy products, malts or malted foods, and canned tomatoes. There may be gluten or yeast-free varieties of some of these “forbidden” foods as well as of others not mentioned. Furthermore, there are foods that are allowed while on a yeast free diet. After all, everyone needs to eat, right? Foods That Can Be Eaten On A Yeast Free Diet Fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh meats, whole grains (certain ones, no more than 15 grams carbs per meal), and unprocessed nuts and seeds. Unrefined olive, sesame, safflower, and corn oils can also be used. Some people also use a lemon juice and oil mixture for a salad dressing in place of vinegar which they should avoid. Beverages such as mineral or spring water can be drank on a yeast free diet. In addition, up to three pieces of fruit can be eaten daily. Some fruits such as grapes, raisin, dates, or figs, should be avoided though.
